Why Choose Myofascial Release (MFR)?

Barnes-style Myofascial Release is a gentle, powerful approach that works with your body — not against it.

Unlike traditional massage, MFR:

  • Targets fascia — the connective tissue that surrounds every muscle, nerve, and organ

  • Uses gentle, sustained pressure, not quick movements or gliding strokes

  • Encourages lasting structural change by calming the nervous system

  • Integrates safely with massage care, birth support, and injury healing

Whether you’re experiencing chronic pain, limited movement, or unexplained tension, MFR helps uncover and release the underlying restrictions — at your body’s pace.

🕊️ Healing for Every Body

From newborns to seasoned adults, your body deserves to feel free, functional, and whole.
Let’s work together to support the healing your system is ready for.

Gentle. Profound. Transformative.

What Is Myofascial Release?

Myofascial Release (MFR) is a gentle, hands-on therapy that targets the fascial system — the body’s connective tissue network surrounding every muscle, nerve, and organ.

When fascia becomes tight or restricted due to injury, stress, posture, or surgery, it can lead to pain, tension, and imbalances throughout the body.

I use the John F. Barnes’ Myofascial Release Approach®, which applies slow, sustained pressure to release restriction and restore function. This work supports both structural and emotional healing — without force, pain, or manipulation.

Who I Work With

My practice is trauma-informed, family-centered, and accessible to people across the lifespan. I work with:

  • Infants and children with feeding challenges, tongue tie, torticollis, or birth strain

  • Pregnant and postpartum parents navigating body changes, recovery, and cesarean scars

  • Teens and adults with chronic pain, TMJ, back and neck tension, or headaches

  • Post-surgical clients with scar tissue, restriction, or compensatory movement patterns

  • Athletes and active individuals looking to improve body mechanics or recover from injury

  • Clients living with trauma, anxiety, or nervous system dysregulation

This work is collaborative, responsive, and tailored to your body’s story — whether you’re five days old or ninety-five years wise.

What to Expect

Sessions are 60–90 minutes long, and you’ll remain comfortably clothed in soft, gym-style clothing.

MFR is slow and intentional. Each session is guided by your body’s feedback — no oil, no scripted routine, and no pushing past your limits.

Most clients describe the experience as:

“Quiet but powerful.”
“The first time my body actually felt heard.”

If your body is holding tension no one has quite reached — this may be your next step.
